NOTICE AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID OF ASPHALT AND PAVING CITY OF LAFAYETIE, GEORGIA
The following packet is for a two road bid.
Sealed bids for all labor, materials and services necessary for the City of LaFayette 2021 Street Paving project will be received by the City of LaFayette at the Office of Mr. David Hamilton, City Manager, City of LaFayette, 207 South Duke Street LaFayette, Georgia 30728. until 3:00 p.m., June 14, 2021, at which time bidding will be closed. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the time and place stated above.
Bids shall be marked "Sealed Bid Paving Project" and delivered to the Office of Mr. David Hamilton, City Manager, City of LaFayette, 207 South Duke Street LaFayette, Georgia 30728.
All anticipated federal, state and local permits required by the Project have been obtained.
All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have been obtained.
Paving specs for Steele Street are as follows:
Paving shall be from Culberson Street to Bradley Ave. Approximately 3,160 feet and the width of currently paved surface, generally 20 feet.
Milling and deep patch 800' x 1O' areas will be marked with white paint.
Leveling (entire road) shall be priced by ton.
1 % asphalt topping shall be priced by ton.

Paving specs for Bradley Avenue are as follows:
Paving shall be from Probasco Street to Enloe Street. Approximately 2,700 feet and the width of currently paved surface, generally 28 feet.
Milling and deep patch 300' x 28' and 1,800' x 14' areas will be marked with white paint.
Leveling (entire road) shall be priced by ton.
1 % asphalt topping shall be priced ton.
Striping (entire road)

Project completion date of Nov. 30, 2021 .
The successful bidder will also be responsible for warranting the paving work for one year after completion.

The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis to a responsive and responsible bidder. The bids will be evaluated and awarded to what is most advantageous to the City of LaFayette. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after Bid opening , except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law . Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price.
The City of LaFayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
